The Energy Crisis - a nutrition problem

It can look like dark circles under your eyes. It can look like needing another cup of coffee. It can look like running out of energy when you feel you should be able to keep going. Have you caught yourself thinking, “I am really out of shape!” after climbing a single flight of stairs? Or walking a short distance?

While I will always advocate for healthy movement and being as strong as you can be, sometimes the problem is with our resources. The truth is you probably DO have some great movement potential. The muscles you have need to be fed in order to function properly. Your body as a whole will go into a survival/retain state if nutrients are low.

I’m not saying you aren’t eating, but have you checked the nutritional content of American snacks? (Spoiler alert: it’s not good news.)

The actual vitamins and minerals your body uses to heal, repair itself, and promote healthy growth have to come from somewhere. One of my favorite places is my local farmers market on Saturday mornings. I go load up on organic veggies and have amazing plans for the week ahead. I should also mention that I have four kids and no matter how well intentioned I am, not every day is going to be jam-packed full of freshly prepared vitamin goodness. Someone will have a practice to be at. Or a club. Or a football game. (Can I get an amen?)

I want to share with you the best things I’ve found for MY family. It’s called Fruits & Greens. It’s a drink mix - but flavors like a smoothie shop. MOST importantly, it has the nutrition backbone I was looking for. Most of the flavors were kid approved, but ALL of them were mom approved. I’d love for you to check it out and see if you actually could feel better than you have been. I put an option in the shop to get a variety pack and try them all! It gives you a free shaker cup, too. I get these because they fit in my purse or a gym bag and can be packed or taken on the road. Those soccer games aren’t going to watch themselves!
